If you want to chop nuts without breaking them down to a powder, the Progressive International Prepworks NUT chopper might be what you need. Designed to work better with multiple medium to small-sized nuts, it’s made mostly from plastic, which makes it less sturdy than glass nut choppers. However, it's easy to load and unload and you can turn the crank in two different ways to get smaller or larger pieces. You can also use this nut chopper to chop mesquite beans and crush shells of hazelnuts and walnuts. Cleaning it can take some effort because the small edges accumulate nut powder, but you can ultimately put soapy water and use a toothbrush to clean it. The left-handed operation of this nut chopper helps to produce small kibble pieces without turning into powder. However, even at the coarse setting, nuts will still be half coarse powder half tiny pieces. Some customers use it to chop peanut pieces and some larger seed nuts. The blades of the chopper look like they’re made of stainless steel, but it is still unclear if it works in chopping chocolate, there is lots of positive feedback for nut chopping.
