** Derwent Alphacolor Soft Square Pastels** The Derwent Alphacolor Soft Square Pastels are garnering a positive reception among artists and hobbyists alike, thanks to their vibrant range of colors and smooth application. Users appreciate how the pastels produce vivid and pigmented hues that can create stunning artwork, making these pastels a popular choice for both professional projects and casual coloring activities. The versatility of these pastels shines through as they are used not only in fine art classes but also for fun creative projects, such as coloring books and children's art. One of the noted advantages of these pastels is their lesser dust compared to traditional chalk pastels, which makes them a practical option for those concerned about mess during creative sessions. However, it's important to keep in mind that they are not completely dust-free; they can still create a bit of a mess. Users recommend working outdoors or in designated messy areas to enjoy them fully. Despite some reports of broken pieces in the packaging—a common occurrence with soft pastels—most customers found that this did not significantly affect their experience or enjoyment of the product. Many are more than willing to overlook this minor flaw, as it allows for easy sharing, which is particularly appealing in collaborative art settings. The overall quality and pricing have received accolades, positioning the Derwent Alphacolor Soft Square Pastels as a strong contender in the market. Many users express intent to purchase again, often contemplating larger sets for increased color variation. **
