This bottom bracket is identical to those used in popular Force and X0 groups and is designed to optimize bearing load and minimize drag for maximum durability. One of the standout features of the GXP Team Bottom Bracket is the left side bearing with a smaller diameter to mate with the stepped spindle of SRAM cranks. This allows the inner race of the left side bearing to be captured between the crankarm and spindle, providing additional support and stability.
The right side bearing floats on the spindle, handling only radial loads as you pedal. In addition to superior bearing design, the GXP Team Bottom Bracket also features alloy cups and sealed cartridge bearings that keep dirt and water out for a maintenance-free experience. And with Gutter Seal Technology, this bottom bracket drastically improves sealing against the elements while reducing seal drag and friction. This bottom bracket is compatible with mountain and road bikes with English threading and fits 68 or 73-millimeter bracket shells.
