Glenn Hughes Format: Audio CD Pop Metal Editorial Review
**Editorial Review** The remastered and expanded edition of Glenn Hughes' "Addiction" has garnered a mixed yet largely positive reception among fans and rock enthusiasts. Described as perhaps his darkest album, it skillfully navigates themes of anger, frustration, and the complexities of addiction. Many listeners resonate with the emotional depth this album captures, showcasing Hughes' raw talent and authenticity as a musician. The hard rock nature of "Addiction" stands out, with reviewers praising its straightforward sound, which some fans argue is where Hughes truly excels. While the album has received accolades for its powerful themes and cohesive flow, there have been some technical criticisms, particularly regarding a duplication error on the second CD's track listing. For some listeners, this issue was a minor setback in an otherwise commendable album experience. The production credits go to Marc Bonnilla, whose influence enhances the overall sound quality, providing a polished yet gritty auditory experience. Initially, the album may not hook new listeners right away, as some reviews indicate that it takes a few plays for its nuances to emerge. Despite this learning curve, "Addiction" is deemed a worthy album, particularly for those familiar with Hughes' discography. While some fans may prefer other albums over this one, many acknowledge its unique position within Hughes' body of work. **
