Howard BBC012 Butcher Block Conditioner, 12-Ounce (5)

The Howard BBC012 Butcher Block Conditioner is primarily formulated for maintaining and preserving wooden kitchen items like cutting boards and butcher blocks. It contains a blend of food-grade mineral oil, beeswax, and carnauba wax. From a nutritionist's perspective, the ingredients are safe and non-toxic, making it suitable for kitchen use where food is prepared. However, it's important to note that while it helps prolong the life of wooden surfaces, the product does not offer any direct nutritional benefits as it is not meant for consumption. Potential drawbacks include the need for regular reapplication and ensuring that it is used according to directions to prevent any residue build-up. For individuals with specific allergies to beeswax, caution is advised. Overall, this conditioner is considered safe and suitable for maintaining kitchenware, helping to promote food safety by reducing health risks associated with aging wood.
